Description

Specifies the method for determining the aggregate crushing value by tamping a measured mass of sieved material (14 mm nominal size) in a standard cylinder, crushing with a plunger and determining the mass passing a 2.36 mm sieve. Material of other nominal sizes may be used but the result may not be comparable. Reconfirmed: 2016-07-15 Originated as part of A77-1957. Revised and redesignated in part as AS 1141-1974. Revised and redesignated AS 1141.21-1997. Reissued incorporating Amendment No. 1 (September 2020).
