The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme, or NatHERS, is being expanded to include Whole of Home assessments and ratings to support the proposed National Construction Code energy efficiency requirements for residential buildings in 2022; the changes will help households improve a home's energy efficiency and reduce energy use, which provides a range of benefits including lower energy bills, improved comfort and health for occupants, and reduced carbon emissions.

Sets out guidelines for the use of saws and drills and associated equipment in the cutting and drilling of concrete and other building structural materials during construction work.

Provides practical guidance and set minimum safety standards for all overhead protective structures in New South Wales.

Provides clients, employers, self-employed persons, contractors, subcontractors and workers with practical advice on preventing injury to persons engaged in work on roofs.

Explains the processes involved in the systematic management of OHS risks and outlines how to apply a risk management approach to the hazards commonly encountered in tunnel construction in NSW.

These requirements are additional to the NATSPEC Simple Domestic specification requirements and if differences in interpretation between the two should arise then these requirements take precedence.

All proposals shall comply with this Minimum Design and Construction Specification (MDCS) together with any additional requirements issued by the Principal with the tender call and any encumbrances, building envelopes, Building Guidelines and Council requirements to which the proposed land is subject.
