The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme, or NatHERS, is being expanded to include Whole of Home assessments and ratings to support the proposed National Construction Code energy efficiency requirements for residential buildings in 2022; the changes will help households improve a home's energy efficiency and reduce energy use, which provides a range of benefits including lower energy bills, improved comfort and health for occupants, and reduced carbon emissions.

Sets out requirements for fire-rated landing doors for retarding the passage of fire through openings in fire-rated liftwells; it applies where doors are required to have a fire-rating certificate.

Sets out requirements for the construction and installation of fire-resistant doorsets that are used to protect openings in walls, and for partitions that are required to resist the passage of fire.

AS 4055:2021 is amended as follows. The amendments should be inserted in the locations as instructed.

From 1 September 2024, stronger work health and safety regulations will apply to work with materials containing 1% or more crystalline silica, known as crystalline silica substances.
