This Standard sets out requirements for tower cranes that are dismantled when they have served their purpose and of the permanently erected type.

Sets out the grade descriptions for use with the softwood products specified in Part 1 of this series. The grades are not intended to indicate a ranking of quality. They are primarily used for appearance products. Grade descriptions are given for pinus species and for other softwoods. Cypress species are covered in AS 1810.

Applies to components and subassemblies of earth-moving machinery which the manufacturer intends to be lifted or tied down separately by using lifting or tying-down attachment points.

Sets out requirements for the selection, identification, installation, finishing, and maintenance of timber and composite doors and doorsets for internal and external application.

Specifies product requirements for sawn and milled hardwood products. Moisture content, profiles, tolerances and grades are covered. Requirements are also given for glued laminating, finger jointing and end-matching. Guidance is given on information to be supplied when ordering.

Specifies requirements for the safe use of tower cranes, covering planning, selection, siting, personnel, inspection, testing, erection, dismantling, personnel safety, operation, maintenance and repair. Appendices provide typical inspection and testing certificates as well as inspection testing check sheets.
