This Standard sets out the method for testing flexible pointing to determine its suitability for use as an adhesive flexible pointing after conditioning by prolonged water saturation.

In This Standard the scope of Int 325-1953 has been extended in that it now covers accessory items generally which, in recent years, have been increasingly built into masonry construction. In the specification of these products, the main consideration of this Standard is to ensure resistance to corrosion, so that the materials can be relied on to perform their intended function for the life of the building.
