Amendment to AS/NZS 3500.1:2021.

Specifies requirements for distribution, location and installation of fire hose reels.

Specifies common plumbing and drainage terms and associated definitions used in areas of the plumbing and drainage sector including product manufacturing specifications, design and installation standards (such as the AS/NZS 3500 series) and regulatory documents.

Outlines minimum requirements for the testing and maintenance of testable backflow prevention devices in the field.

Sets out test procedures and criteria for the determination of fire-resistance of elements of building construction.

Sets out a method for evaluating the annual energy performance of water heaters using a combination of test results for component performance and mathematical models to determine the standardized annual supplementary energy use.

Describes a single test method for grading building materials on the basis of ignition tendency, flame spread, heat development and tendency to produce smoke.

Sets out basic requirements and good practice for the design, materials, manufacture, examination, testing, installation, conformity assessment, commissioning, operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, alteration and disposal of pressure equipment (boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping) but excluding gas cylinders; includes detailed requirements for various pressure equipment by direct reference to a range of Australian, New Zealand and other Standards.

Provides a glossary of terms to be used in connection with fire testing; also refers to deprecated terms which should not be used in connection with fire testing.
