Specifies requirements and means of conformance for the design, installation and commissioning of LP Gas installations in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes.

AS/NZS 5601.1:2022 is amended as follows.

​Sets out requirements and recommendations for the safe storage and handling of LP Gas, in cylinders and bulk tanks.

Specifies the uniform minimum requirements for the design, construction and safe operation of Type B appliances that are intended for use with town gas, natural gas, simulated natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and tempered liquefied petroleum gas or any combination of these gases either together or with other fuels.

Sets out requirements and means of conformance for the design, installation and commissioning of gas installations that are associated with the use or intended use of fuel gases such as natural gas, LP Gas, or biogas.

AS/NZS IEC 60079.10.1:2022 adopts IEC 60079 10 1:2020, which specify requirements for the classification of areas where flammable gas or vapour hazards may arise and may then be used as a basis to support the proper design, construction, operation and maintenance of equipment for use in hazardous areas.

Specfies performance requirements for the assessment of conventional and innovative water composting toilets, and includes a performance evaluation test. Also includes guidelines for the safe conduct of operation and maintenance of waterless composting toilets.

Specifies requirements and sets out recommendations for the selection, safe use and maintenance of industrial fall-arrest systems and devices based on the use of safety harnesses (including belts), horizontal life lines and rails, fall-arrest devices, and associated lanyards, connectors, anchorages and fittings.
