This Regulation is the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2017.(NSW legislation.)

To inform industry and the community about the compliance requirements under the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 for grading floors to floor wastes with showers and other wet areas of dwellings.

Specifies the requirements for the safe discharge of water from a split system air conditioner.

This report considers the research conducted previously on the current methods for sizing sanitary plumbing and drainage systems used within Australia and takes into account industry observations to propose improvements to these methods

The responsible person for plumbing and drainage work must ensure the work complies with the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) and other prescribed codes and standards.

This Certifier Practice Standard is prepared by the Commissioner for Fair Trading under section 14 of the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018 (B&DC Act); Section 14 provides that a registered certifier’s conditions of registration may require the certifier to carry out certification work in accordance with specified standards or methodologies prepared by the Commissioner.

The scope of this document is limited to consideration of the potential risk from consumption of drinking water that contains metals released (leached) from plumbing products in buildings or devices such as drinking water fountains.
