​This Standard specifies test methods for the energy performance of incandescent lamps, both tungsten filament and tungsten halogen, that are used in general lighting service.

Provides requirements for testing rectangular sections of sawn solid timber of commercial structural size to provide data for the determination of characteristic values for structural design. It specifies the test methods only.

Guidelines covering design and testing of electrical equipment to ensure safety and protection against electric shock, including the principles and application of double insulation, are contained in Annex D. Users of this Standard may find it helpful to study Annex D before reading the main body of this Standard.

This Standard adopts ISO 6892-1:2019 which specifies the method for tensile testing of metallic materials and define the mechanical properties which can be determined at room temperature.

AS 16890.4:2024 adopts and modifies ISO 16890 4:2022 which establishes a conditioning method to determine the minimum fractional test efficiency

AS 16890.3:2024 adopts and modifies ISO 16890 3:2016 which specifies the test equipment and the test methods used for measuring the gravimetric efficiency and resistance to air flow of air filter for general ventilation

Specifies essential safety requirements for plugs, socket-outlets, cable couplers and appliance couplers for operation at 50 Hz, with a rated voltage not exceeding 660 V and a rated current not exceeding 315 A intended for general industrial use. It is intended to be read in conjunction with AS/NZS 3100.
