This Standard specifies requirements and procedures for the installation of square carpet tiles.

This Standard was prepared by the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee EL-002 - Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances and Small Power Transformers to supersede AS/NZS 60335.2.94:2008 three years from the date of publication of this Standard. During this period AS/NZS 60335.2.94:2008 will also remain current. Regulatory authorities that reference this Standard in regulation may apply these requirements at a different time. Users of this Standard should consult with these authorities to confirm their requirements.

AS 10567:2024 adopts and modifies ISO 10567, which provides a uniform method for calculating the lift capacity of hydraulic excavators and specifies a procedure for verifying the calculations. AS ISO 15817:2023 adopts and modifies ISO 15817:2012, which specifies the essential safety requirements for remote operator control systems used on earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165. It is not applicable to autonomous control systems that enable a machine to work without the assistance of an operator, nor does it apply to the remote control of attachments on non-remote controlled machines

This Standard sets out requirements for installing textile floor coverings (carpets). It gives details of the work necessary in preparing subfloor surfaces, together with the procedures that are to be adopted where textile floor coverings are laid over various types of subfloors and underlays.

Identically adopts EN 81 21:2018, specifying safety rules related to new passenger and goods/passenger lifts permanently installed in existing buildings where in some circumstances due to limitations enforced by building constraints, some requirements of EN 81 20:2014 cannot be met. AS/NZS 60335.2.40:2019 deals with the safety of electric heat pumps, including sanitary hot water heat pumps, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers incorporating motor-compressors and hydronic fan coils units, their maximum rated voltages being not more than 250 V for single phase appliances and 600 V for all other appliances. Partial units are within the scope of this Standard.
