AS 1428

This series groups together the current parts to Australian Standard, AS 1428 Design for access and mobility, available in the BIG library.

The AS 1428 series is a key set of Australian standards that focuses on the design and construction of accessible environments. These standards provide detailed guidelines to ensure that buildings and facilities are accessible and usable by people with disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs, have limited mobility, or have visual or hearing impairments. The AS 1428 series covers a wide range of aspects, from door widths and ramps to tactile indicators and signage, helping architects, designers, and builders create inclusive spaces that meet legal requirements and support equal access for all members of the community.
