This Standard sets out the safety and physical requirements for light-transmitting screens and curtains intended to provide protection against hazardous radiation generated during welding processes, while simultaneously affording visual contact with the working position.

Sets out the minimum requirements for the design, construction, installation and commissioning of mechanical and airconditioning systems for fire and smoke control in multi-compartment buildings. Five specific methods of smoke control are defined and the appropriate requirements specified for each. This Standard does not include requirements for smoke control systems utilizing exhaust from above the hot layer. The Standard does not include requirements for maintenance of smoke control systems.

Recommends design sound levels and reverberation times for different areas of occupancy in various categories of buildings. Specifies methods of measuring the ambient sound level reverberation time. This Standard is intended for use in assessing the acoustic performance of buildings and building services. It does not apply to the evaluation of occupancy noise.
