During this period AS/NZS 60335.2.94:2008 will also remain current. Regulatory authorities that reference this Standard in regulation may apply these requirements at a different time. Users of this Standard should consult with these authorities to confirm their requirements.

This Standard sets out a qualitative method for the detection of sugar in aggregates intended for use in the production of concrete. A positive reaction is given by one part of sugar in one thousand parts of aggregates. No visible reaction is given by one part of sugar in 10 000 parts of aggregates.

This Standard was prepared to supersede AS/NZS 4456.0:1997. The test methods are grouped into the following categories: - Tests that relate to minimum performance requirements. - Tests that are optional and intended to be specified as appropriate.
